It saddens me to see fraud in my profession, but it’s a fact of life. Because of that, it’s important to be aware of some things before visiting a psychic for a reading. Here are a few tips to help:
Find out where the psychic is coming from. You want to know whether or not he or she is operating from a good place. It’s pretty easy to tell this. If the first thing out of their mouth is about money, you pretty much know you’re going to get asked to invest in some sort of “life changing” mechanism. Walk away fast, that’s a big red flag!
Start with questions about the psychic. A lot of people think this is a no no, but it’s actually a good tactic. Interview the psychic. After all, he or she is auditioning for you and your time. Personally, I always welcome questions. It’s a great icebreaker and it makes it easier to connect.
Don’t offer any information about yourself other than your name. Let them do what they’re supposed to do and read you. I typically spend the first part of a session (up to 15 or 20 minutes for longer sessions) directly reading a person. If those first few minutes are totally off, it allows you the opportunity to call bullshit.
